Pionen

Jalbum's servers are located 30 meters below the ground of Stockholm in a rebuilt bomb shelter capable of withstanding a close atom bomb hit.

  • There is not much above ground that reveals what's inside here
  • Calle posing in front of the entrance. You don't see it now, but there is steam emerging all the time from that pretty large air conditioner
  • One of several doors. Looking at the lock makes it obvious just how fat that steel armor is. I guess this beast weighs a couple of tons
  • These two diesel backup systems come from German submarines. They are capable of keeping the servers humming for days without external energy supply.
  • Our sysadmin heroes Patrik and Johan setting up our servers
  • Being guided to our server rack by the head of sales of Bahnhof (our ISP)
  • Our server rack. These are the servers running Jalbum.net and managing over 150.000 hosting accounts
  • This is called 'server porn' :-)
  • Enjoy!
  • Dell, you should pay us for this PR
  • The control room of the premises is staffed 24/7
  • Jalbum's board posing in front of those massive diesel engines. Guys always want to associate themselves with powerful things. From left to right: Carl, Linus, Per, David (me) and Tomas
  • This picture doesn't show this well, but this conference room is all glass and steel and is hanging in the centre of the massive cave that makes up the premises.
